New Governor of J&K 2018 Satya Pal Malik
Vohra was re-appointed as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir by the President of India in 2013. Vohra retired from the position of governor in August 2018 and was replaced by Satya Pal Malik , a BJP politician and a former governor of the states of Bihar and Odisha. Malik is 13th Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. He assumed office on 23 August 2018. He is appointed by President of India and preceded by Narinder Nath Vohra. He was also 33rd Governor of Bihar and was In office from 30 September 2017 – 21 August 2018. He was Preceded by Keshari Nath Tripathi and was Succeeded by Lalji Tandon. He was Later on Preceded as Governor of Odisha (Additional Charge)and was In office from 21st March 2018 – 28th May 2018. He was Preceded by Dr. S.C. Jamir and was Succeeded by Ganeshi Lal. He remained Member of Parliament,[ Lok Sabha] From 1989-1991 and was Preceded by Usha Rani Tomar and Succeeded by Sheela Gautam and his Constituency was Aligarh. Member of Parliament,[ Rajya Sabha]
